Blog Vacation
After a long hiatus, I thought I should add something new to the family blog! We are having a really busy fall. Will started his senior year of high school. His football team is 3-0 and will play Bridgeport tomorrow. It's also homecoming week. Drew is at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He seems to love his classes, enjoys college life and is having fun playing football. His team is also 3-0 with a big game this weekend. Mitch is here with us in Chadron, working at the school. I have a feeling he's going to start on his teaching degree. All is all, everyone is fine!

Months Go By
A lot has happened since my last post. Caio is living with us and we are enjoying him so much! Track season is winding down with only the district meet remaining. Prom is tomorrow night and then we enter graduation week. Mitch finished school at UNL this week and Drew graduates next Sunday. We have lots to celebrate. Drew finally picked a college this week. He will be attending Nebraska Wesleyan and will play football. I am attaching a story about his selection to play in the Shrine Bowl this summer. Shrine Bowl

Season Ends
We won our first round game at districts, but then fell to Grant - ending the season. It was sad to see it end for Drew and for the other seniors. Now we move on to college visits and making choices! The Omaha World Herald did a nice story about Drew and I am attaching it as well. Drew Districts Grant Kimball

End of Regular Season & Districts Begin
I thought I was caught up and now I see I'm behind one game!! We finished the regular season last Friday with another overtime game against Grant. Drew made a full length lay up at the end of the game to put us ahead by 2! It was exciting... Last night we began district play with a win over Kimball. Both stories are attached. Grant Kimball

More Games and Some Family Time

We've played a few games and I will load the stories if you'd like to read about them. This team seems to win and lose by ONE point! We went to Sidney last weekend for our game. Mitch drove out to Ben & Ronee's and Shawn joined us from Laramie. Our exchange student from Brazil will be moving in with us in March and Caio got to see what the family is really like! (The pic includes Caio and was taken in December.) George & Kit and Mom came, too. The boys and Andy stayed after the game so we had some time together. Alliance Red Cloud & Sidney

Good Weekend of Games
We are coming off a good weekend for the basketball team. We beat Ainsworth in overtime on Thursday and then beat Alliance Friday night. I didn't realize how far behind I am on linking the game stories so I will try to catch up in this post! We are currently 10-6 on the season. Alliance Ainsworth Sidney Gordon-Rushville

Win Over Gering

We played at Gering last night and won in a buzzer beating thriller. Drew & Will both played well and we told Grandma Tonie she needs to come to all the games if we can win like THAT! The stories are attached. Gering Star Herald Story Newspaper

A Few Games Behind
Time gets away from me so easily lately. I need to get organized! We've played two games since my last post. We won the game at Mitchell and lost to Alliance. Drew was ill and missed the Mitchell game so don't wonder when his name is missing in the box score. He turned 19 on Saturday and celebrated with a bunch of his friends. Mitchell Alliance Newspaper

We had a wonderful Christmas at home in Chadron. Mitch was home, Mom drove up from Bridgeport, and we spent time with George's family. After Christmas we went to eastern Nebraska and visited Andy's mom and sister. The boys played basketball at Nebraska City and Omaha Roncalli. The stories are attached. Happy New Year!!
